At Electra Mining Africa 2024 in Johannesburg, EMPH sat down with Reggiana Riduttori to confirm our appointment as the company’s official distributor and service centre — a partnership we’re proud to begin.

JOHANNESBURG, 3 September 2024 — On the show floor at Electra Mining Africa, held this week at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, EMPH met with the Reggiana Riduttori team to formalise a new chapter in our business: EMPH has been confirmed as the official distributor and service centre for Reggiana Riduttori planetary gearboxes.

Reggiana Riduttori has built an international reputation for heavy-duty planetary reduction gears used across cranes, winches, drilling rigs, material handling equipment and marine applications. Meeting the team in person, after months of discussion, was the right moment to put pen to paper on a partnership that brings that engineering directly to South African operators.

Under the new agreement, EMPH will hold stock of genuine Reggiana Riduttori gearboxes and spare parts, and will handle servicing, repairs and technical support locally — meaning shorter lead times and less downtime for customers who previously had to wait on parts and expertise from overseas.

“We are proud to be partnered with such an exceptional company,” the EMPH team said after the meeting. “Reggiana Riduttori’s gearboxes have a reputation for durability in some of the toughest operating conditions, and we’re looking forward to bringing that same standard of engineering — backed by local stock and local service — to our customers.”

The appointment covers both distribution and after-sales service, so customers running Reggiana Riduttori planetary gearboxes can now come to EMPH for sales, spares and repairs in one place.
